TWO GOLF COURSES FOR ALTINKUM, TURKEY Great news for golfers who have bought, or are thinking of buying, property in the Aegean coastal resorts of Altinkum or Akbuk. The Turkish Ministry for Culture and Tourism has announced that they will release land to build two golf courses in the Altinkum area. One will be built in Yesilkent approximately two miles from the centre of Altinkum, whilst the other will be built just off the Didum to Akbuk road. Interested developers have until the end of January 2007 to apply to the ministry with the land being auctioned in February. Building is expected to be underway by the middle of the year. With so many overseas investors buying in the area the ministry have made the area a Culture and Tourism Reserve Zone and will be looking at further ways to help tourism in the area.
